tiny reader
Jan. 30th, 2013 06:24 pmI just confirmed that L. can indeed read by sight and spell the following words (all out of context too...he knows stop is stop regardless of where it appears, for example): cat, pig, push, off, on, no, exit, and stop. He just turned three.
He has learned these all on his own, essentially, all by reading the letters and asking us what they spell. He is *very* interested in spelling, reading, and letters. It is interesting, as although S. is now a very advanced reader, he wasn't so much interested in reading/letters, especially when he was L.'s age. I am fascinated to see how this will progress over the next year or so.
