A pair of Canada Geese flying over the Don Edwards preserve in Alviso. I like this shot because I caught one goose mid-honk. I shot this in March of 2011 (St. Patrick;s Day actually) when I was out there with S. and his preschool for a filed trip. I had never been to the preserve in Alviso (been to the one in Fremont a number of times) and it is really nice. The kids had an awesome field trip and I took some pictures.

I just confirmed that L. can indeed read by sight and spell the following words (all out of context too...he knows stop is stop regardless of where it appears, for example): cat, pig, push, off, on, no, exit, and stop. He just turned three.

He has learned these all on his own, essentially, all by reading the letters and asking us what they spell. He is *very* interested in spelling, reading, and letters. It is interesting, as although S. is now a very advanced reader, he wasn't so much interested in reading/letters, especially when he was L.'s age. I am fascinated to see how this will progress over the next year or so.
