Photo of the Week for 03/15/14: Well, Hello There! When L. and I visited the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo back in January we had a chance to check out the new weaverbird exhibit that comes complete with a climbing area for kids. I captured this of one of the birds while L. played with another child he'd just met up in the tunnel/tower part of the exhibit. I feel like this bird has a lot of attitude.

Well, it was in an exhibit and I was shooting at 100mm. :) Joe has told me that a lot of his Puffin shots were taking at around 100mm as they are not very skittish. That was encouraging to me, as I hope to take more photos of Puffins someday. :)

Cool! I am definitely hoping to photograph some puffins in Iceland this summer! Just booked the trip today!
