cat mistakes

'Stache is a very scroungy little cat. She will find any crumb of any food-like substance on the ground and try to eat it. If you leave your plate unattended for more than a minute she will be there, helping herself. I have seen her sitting underneath L. as he eats, just as a little dog would, waiting for him to spill something.

Anyhow, tonight she starting licking a plate I had next to me. I had finished my food and all that was left on the plate was spicy brown mustard. She did not come back for seconds.

I keep thinking of putting capsaicin cream on my fingers to stop Anais from licking them. Oberon was super-scroungy like that, too, always standing under my feet whenever I was chopping anything, hoping to find dropped bits. (And later, when he was on steroids, grabbing off of my plate!)
