great party, bad tummy

This past Saturday M., S., and I went to the girlfags party at klwalton's house, hosted by her and rampling. It was great to see rampling again as I had not seen her since the NACB in Vancouver in early August. It was also really great to see klwalton, mactavish, and joedecker. I had lots of fun hanging out and talking to everyone there. mactavish wore her sexy shirt which I saw last year at Fencesitter's and she also gave me a really cool velvet dress!! mactavish, rampling, joedecker and I took some pictures together as we were finally all together at once. I even enjoyed some of the food I brought. However, I should have known better than to eat too much of too many different kinds of food just a day out of a migraine.


I had not been feeling all that well most of Saturday, and by the end of the evening I had been violently ill (nice way of saying "I puked by guts out") several times. I get sick like this a lot less than I used to when my migraines were way more out of control than I have them now. I used to throw-up about once a week with a migraine--Now it is down to under once a month. However, it is still yucky and miserable. M. had to stop the car on the way home so I could get sick again, this time on the shoulder of 880. Yeah, that is always soooo much fun. When I got home, I spent about an hour sitting in the shower trying to feel better. I finally did (after my stomach was emptied completely) and I went to bed. I lost most of Sunday to sleep, which was aggravating as I lost Thursday and Friday to sleeping off the migraine. I am feeling better now although I have lost my voice again from the vomitting and I look like a freak as some capillaries burst in my face while I was puking so it looks like I am wearing red eyeliner under my left eye and I appear to have little red freckles around my eyes. Nice. I am a bit concerned about the long-term damage that my body may be acquiring as a result of throwing-up so much. I need to get back to the neurologist soon so that perhaps we can do something to get my migaines and related illnesses under better control.

Well, I am at work now and am feeling like getting stuff done, so off I go to do that.

Bummer 'bout getting sick. But it was so great to get to see you again. And great fun to help you and Mary overwhelm "poor Joe" with gobs of affections ; ) ! Thanx for being there and helping to make the party very special for me.
