Someone smashed our pumpkins last night. The ones S. and I worked together on, the one he was so proud of. I feel like crying. What is wrong with people? I am guessing it was the teenagers that rang the doorbell close to 9 (porch light was off)...I didn't answer the door...I yelled through it that we were out of candy. We were just about and we were trying to get the kids to bel I regret not opening the door to make sure they walked out of our yard without incident. I also regret that I have to live in a world with assholes who smash a seven year old's pumpkin.

And, we had *just* carved them last night And S.'s was on the front lawn, in front of our living room window, completely out of way from where anyone would be walking. They looked stomped on.

Also, I could hear the group of teenagers get all pissy when I didn't answer the door. I don't owe an open door to anyone, even on Halloween. We signaled that we were done which means move it along, not please come destroy our stuff. I have never, in all my 38 years here on this Earth, destroyed something of someone else's purposefully or because I thought it was funny....I just cannot imagine doing that.
