Photo of the day for 09/04/13: Dry Year. While at Coyote Hills on Sunday I noticed the mud flats were super dry. We've had a really dry year. This is what they look like right now.

I bet it's not as dry as it looks--cyan_blue fell in something like that and it turned out to be pretty soft!

Grin, yeah, that was quite the muddy experience!

Oh, yes, it is SUPER muddy and sticky...what I mean was that these parts of the flats are not exposed when it is wetter/when we have wetter years.

And we explained to the kids that they should not try to walk out onto them. :)
