Photo of the day for 09/03/13: Sulfurous Rocks. LAst summer we went to Lassen Volcanic National Park for a few days. our first stop there was Sulfur Works to see the boiling mud pits and other sulfurous things of doom. Here are some captivating and terrifying rocks.

I'm amazed at how much less the Sulfur Works is steaming now compared to when I first saw it in the 1990's.
