Photo of the day for today: Sand and Scales. At the Children's Discovery Museum, in the upstairs toddler/preschooler room there is a table with fine play-sand and measuring cups, beakers, test tubes, funnels, and an old scale that has been bolted into a fixed position. My kids love to pour the sand in and out of the containers, through the funnels, into the cups, and all over the plate of the scale seen here with sand piled on it. Shot in February of 2013.
