sloooow day...
Jun. 7th, 2002 04:15 pmToday is dragging. I am making a dent in my work projects, but I don't want to get too far ahead as I start full-time next week and I will have plenty of time to work on them.
The weather has made a turn for the cooler which is a very, very good thing. Our house is at least liveable at temperatures like these.
My feet were incredibly sore this morning (still are, actually) and I think it is a result of a lot of dancing in bare feet the past few months. Lots of jumping, leaping, and turning on my bare feet can make them rather sore. I am achey all over today, actually. Too much dancing. I will be glad to have a minimal number of dance projects going on this summer. We got our costumes last night in my Thurs. Jazz class and they are actually quite pretty. They are dresses with a dark blue velvet upper-bodice and the skirt-part has a high waist and is a sheer blue/green/gold fabric. They are too long, however, so we have to cut them a bit (mine drags on the ground). I am grateful that whomever ordered the costumes ordered me am adult XL--It is a tad loose, but I am happier that way that in something too snug. My instructor seemed shocked to find an XL in the box--he labors under the delusion that I will invaribly fit in an adult large, which is not always the case. He seems to think that XL is elephant size, and I have yet to drive it through his brain that an XL works fine on someone who is a size 14-18 (the size 8-10 women order larges, so it is not like these things run big).
Anyhow, I will be finishing my costuming tonight for my show tomorrow. I found a couple of items I needed at Michaels crafts last night and that was good. I am finally getting my badly needed haircut this evening as well.
On Sunday San Jose Pride. I am planning on marching in the parade--This will be my sixth consecutive year marching. Wow--hard to believe it has been so many years now. I am glad to see that Cheer SF will once again be performing at the festival. I love them.
Next week should be calmer than this week, though I suspect I will be tired as I will be starting my work days earlier than I am accustomed to.
OK, off to finish some more work.
