Photo of the day for today: Majestic Egret. I love egrets, particularly Great Egrets. Living where we do I get to see a lot of egrets...we see them in little marshes along the highways, in the salt ponds in the bay, and sometimes just on a hillside. When we went to the Point Lobos State Reserve back in December I spotted this one, just hanging out. I love the capture of the wings here. It was very bright and sunny when I sot this so the egret was initially very blown out, but with some work in Lightroom I have created an image I really like.
