Photo of the day for today: Monarch in Eucalyptus Grove at Ardenwood. Every year the Monarchs come to Ardenwood to spend part of the winter. They start arriving in late October-ish and start leaving in February. The height of Monarch season out there is in January where you can see them hanging in huge clumps in the Eucalyptus trees and flying about. I took L. out there in early January and saw plenty of Monarchs and captured this shot of one in the trees behind the train tracks at back of the farm.
