Photo of the day: Iris at Ardenwood. I shot this last Easter at Ardenwood in the gardens near the greenhouse. We have spent every Easter there since 2007, and are usually joined by my family. This past Easter was our first without my Aunt Mary. Today would have been her 63rd birthday. One year ago we had her memorial service, arranged to coincided with her birthday. Irises were one of her favorite flowers and she had a lot of Iris-themed things. We were given Iris bulbs to plant at her service. We miss her and still cannot believe she is gone.
