So much in store this year! This event is FREE but we will be asking for donations to make Fatty Affair an official non-profit and to hold more events in San Jose throughout the year (see our 2013 goals)!
And don't forget to bring some cash (checks welcome for donations) for the incredible bake sale, raffle and to shop our wonderful fat positive vendors! So exciting!!!
This is a body positive event with performances, speakers, fat positive vendors, a bake sale, raffle, door prizes and a clothing swap!
Please bring your gently used-wearable-freshly laundered clothing you no longer want to Fatty Affair to swap!We are accepting clothing for all genders! (Please pre-sort your clothing by size as the swap will be a self-serve operation.) No fees or tickets required. Don't have anything to bring? No worries! You're welcome to take what you like! A Fitting room is on-site as well as accessible restrooms. Volunteers will be on-hand to assist you. :)
Leftover clothing will be donated to the Size Diversity Task Force for their Big Fat Flea Market 2013 (the proceeds of the Big Fat Flea Market will benefit the LA Chapter of the Size Diversity Task Force, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), civil rights organization that works to celebrate bodies of all sizes and abilities and secure the legal and social rights of fat persons).
The bake sale will feature gluten-free, sugar-free as well as vegan options! A variety of beverages will also be for sale. Wanna donate some awesome baked goodness? Email us: FattyAffair@gmail.com Please put "Bake Sale" in the subject line!
