Photo of the day for Sunday, 1/20/13: Missed posting this yesterday as I was not home due to the rapid and early arrival of my new niece! Anyhow, I shot this in December of 2010. It is a macro shot of a grashopper on the lavender bush that was in our old front yard. I believe that I was going in the house and noticed it, grabbed my camera, and shot for a few minutes while the kids played. I like this shot because the grashopper is doing something with its front limb. I also like its eyes.

Sorry! I think it is less creepy to me as I know it is magnified here...ah, the wonders of macro photography. :) I love capturing insects' eyes as I normally don't get to pay much attention to them.

I have provided completely non-creepy, cute as can be baby goats as a palate cleanser for today.
