inaccurate

I had labs and an xray run yesterday due to some serious pain in my right hand. I got a call today from a medical assistant and the message was that all the other tests were normal (other than the elevated ESR that I knew about last night). This was inaccurate in two ways now that I see what has been released online to me:

1.) My ANA test has not come back yet, so I don't know if everything else is normal and,

2.) The x-ray was not normal. There is a subchondral cyst in the exact joint where I am having the most pain. This probably points to arthritis, but the pain has been very sudden and severe. And? THAT IS NOT A NORMAL X-ray. Also? The radiologist notes that a MRI may be in order should the pain persist. Again, not a "nothing to see here" situation.

Gah.

That sucks. I have definitely heard of people having wrist cysts from overuse that, while annoying and frustrating, were not anything that would cause long-term problems like arthritis. I hope you have something easily curable!

I can feel for you my left middle finger hurts so much I can only bend it a slight bit and even that is painful. Hope they figure out what is causing your pain and can relieve it soon.
