Our weekends tend to be really, really busy and this weekend proved to be no exception.

On Saturday, [livejournal.com profile] catzen took S. to the Exploratorium. That was his birthday gift to him and we finally were able to make it happen. Since Michael doesn't have a car that meant we had to get to Oakland before rehearsal and drop a car and S. at Michael's house. After that < lj user="ptor"> drove me to Berkeley to a plus-size sample sale where I got two shirts, two Lane Bryant bras, and a nice/pretty/not-for-working-out swimsuit, all for $50. Peter took off to have some special time with just L. (rare for them) and a fellow dancer drove me to rehearsal. It was open rehearsal and I had three new people which was awesome. It was a good rehearsal and we are working a lot of technique in this relatively quiet time. We did three big shows in a row and we are beat. After rehearsal was lunch with two dancers then over to the Temescal library for Faturday Crafternoon where I was delighted to see [livejournal.com profile] loracs. I had left my craft supplies at home, but I ended up making a card with stamps that someone else had brought. After that it was time to get catty...as in get in my cat costume for a belated Halloween party at another dancer's house. We had fun and both the kids mostly behaved and gorged on candy. S. also had his first marshmallows as they had gotten some vegan ones for us. We roasted marshmallows and it was fun and S. roasted some for everyone and wanted to demo it for everyone. Michael was a huge hit with the other kids that were there as well. Fun, but really long day.

Sunday was Peter's birthday. I made pancakes for breakfast and we most just puttered around the house and worked on cleaning the garage for the first part of the day. Then we headed to Oakland and met Uncle Michael at Frog Park where the kids played and we had a bonus sighting of one of my friends! Then we hung out at Uncle's for a while, then headed to Lanesplitter for dinner (YUM!) and to Scream Sorbet for dessert (EXTEME YUM!). We tried most of what Scream was offering...I ended up getting the hazelnut chocolate, Peter got the coffee almond, S. got the tangerine, L. got strawberry, and Michael got pear, coconut thai basil, and one other that I forget. I ended up buying three to take home as well....pecan vanilla, hazelnut chocolate, and strawberry lemon. That is some exceptionally good sorbet. It was a good night and I think a good birthday for Peter.

Fun and busy weekend.
