My joints and muscles feel considerably better today and I was able to get almost fully comfortable last night. Having Sunday and Wednesday off from dance helped. I am glad the pain has lessened, though I am still going to get my ass to the doctor.

[livejournal.com profile] catzen and I were awoken by knocking on our front door at 6:30am this morning. At first we thought it was just hammering (there is often construction crap going on near or on our house), but it was persistent and seemed like knocking. I finally got out of bed and looked out the window and our neighbor that we share the garage with was signaling to me to come dowstairs. I sent [livejournal.com profile] catzen down and he found out that said neighbors had parked their car in the garage last night and I had parked too close to the garage door for them to open it. Of course the only reason I had to park in the driveway in front of the garage door (which is actually behind our house--we live in a 4-unit townhouse) was because there has been no street parking of late as the parking lots of some neighboring complexes are being re-paved and are all torn-up, greatly reducing the available parking. Anyhow, [livejournal.com profile] catzen moved the car but unfortunately unable to get back to sleep :-(. What puzzled me was why our neighbors (who obviously had to wake us and were intent on succeeding) just didn't ring the damn doorbell. Grrr.

I managed to get a couple more hours of sleep but was quite unhappy when I got in my car to drive to work and discovered that I had indeed driven home last night on fumes--the tank was empty and the car wouldn't start. So back in the house I went and rounded up [livejournal.com profile] catzen who drove me to the gas station (I still don't really know how to drive a stick--well, I know how but I haven't practiced in about 8 years) to get a gallon of gas. Only about two-thirds of tht gallon actually made it in my car as the rest spilled during the attempt to poor it in. My poor [livejournal.com profile] catzen's hands still smell like gasoline.

I finally made it to work and started in on a very boring task. I only got through a few hours of it before the tech guy came to fix my network connection. He promptly discovered that about a million things needed updating on my machine, so I sat and twiddled my thumbs for 2 hours while he fixed the connection and ran all the updates. At least I can now access the files I need. I resumed the incredibly boring task after he left and have almost reached completion of it. Yippee.

I have dance and body-shaping tonight, then hopefully restful sleep. Tomorrow night I have major cleaning and laundry to do.
