walk around the lake

ptor and I had a picnic and took a walk around Lake Elizabeth today. Of course, I took my camera and much shooting ensued. The highlight of our walk was watching a young snowy egret fish--we even saw it catch and eat a small fish. I love egrets and getting to watch one up close was a treat. I am quite happy with some of the egret shots, but a certain mallard stole the show today flying into my shot, giving me my one of my favorite photos of the day.
