frustrations and sunlight
Mar. 11th, 2005 12:50 pmThe spring and summer swim meet schedule has been posted and I am not going to be able to swim in any of the short course meets this spring. Serious frustration. I had to stop swimming in December when the infection in my nose/sinuses got so bad and now post-surgery I am still not cleared to get back in the water as things are still healing. Maybe by April. Gah.
I will hopefully do some open water meets this summer and I am toying with the idea of the doing the Trans Tahoe Relay this year with my team. The idea of racing in 55 degree water with no wet suit is daunting, but possible. My team swam it last year and and documented it.
But for now, no swimming.
Really, really frustrating.
This weekend, more yardwork and wedding stuff. We need to mow the front lawns and transplant the flowers we bought last weekend. The weather is very nice today--we are up to 79 already and it is very sunny.
Lunch soon, then rest of day working them home to do Big Moves work. Still trying to catch up from being out of commission for nearly two weeks with the surgery.

Hot day. Well, hot for March. It reached over 80 here which my body wasn't quite prepared for, but nice all the same.
After a slightly short day of work (we all left around 4) I enjoyed a sunny drive home and enjoyed some quiet afternoon time around the house getting some stuff done. Harlie and I also spent some nice time watching birds.
ptor had a late-ish day, but once he got home and relaxed some we enjoyed a very nice dinner out at our favorite local Chinese restaurant. Tasty mu shu, chow mein, spring rolls, and veggies. Now home and wine and relaxtion and playing with Ms. Harlequin.
Hopefully we will acquire some lawn furniture this weekend so we can start enjoying our deck.
And for fun I've uploaded a few cute pictures of Harlie and self-portrait that I took before Christmas while playing with my new camera.
