mmm....hot tub......

Last night catzen and I were finally able to make use of the Watercourse Way gift certificate a certain boy gave me for Christmas. It was wonderful!! We were in room two for an hour and a half. It was so nice to just sit and relax in the hot water. It felt great to be able to move my knees without pain (this only happens when they are really warm). We both were able to relax and de-stress a bit which we both sorely needed. Of course, as of this morning we are in full-stress mode again, but at least my muscles feel better.

Upcoming Big Moves Events

Big Moves has a lot of events coming up which may be of interest to some of you, or to others that you know (full listing on Web site and behind cut tag). Please, please, please help get this information out!

For anyone interested in my performances, I am performing with the Phat Fly Girls (hip-hop dance) at the Latin Dance Party on March 31st, at Big Boogie Nights on April 20th, and at the Women's Work show on May 7th. I am also performing as a soloist and in two group pieces (modern dance) at the Bodies in Motion concert on April 12th and 13th, and again at the Women's Work show on May 7th. I will be teaching a jazz class at the 3rd Annual Day of Dance on May 19th.

something to think about

I remember when I was sophmore in high school and we all were required to take a set of mini-courses which consisted of driver's ed, health, careers and goals, and geography. I remember that in the careers and goals class we had to take some version of a career assessment test. My results showed s 90% match (my highest) with being a dancer or choreographer. At the time I had not danced in several years and didn't really consider it as something I would pursue .

Then I look at my life now and I see myself putting more and more time and energy into dance and dance-related activities. I can actually see how, eventually, at some point, I may only be doing dance things and that would be cool. And I remember that test and how I thought it was so silly that it told be I should be a dancer/choregrapher.

Well, off to dance :-)
