So, I have lots and lots to write about, but this sinus infection is causing me to operate at about one-tenth my normal speed, so I will have to do major writing at a later date.

Anyhow, I am planning of going to the Fencesitter's Ball in SF this Friday, and I need costume ideas....anyone, anyone...Bueller?? I need to wear something in which I can move and dance in with relative ease and which will not require me to purchase much (I am awfully broke these days).

I have PVC skirts and tops, black tights, black boots, black velvet dresses, and random dance costumes to work with....Anyone have any great ideas?? My head is so fogged from this illness I can barely do basic arithmetic, so I am not at my creative best here. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

My standard "going out dancing" costume is black vinyl pants and a cute top. Easy to move in, feels like second skin. :)

yeah, I typically just wear my PVC skirt and a mesh-like or PVC top to such events, but I wanted to try to actually "dress-up" for Halloween...but I may just end up in my usual "going-out" clothes.

Yeah, I completely planned to dress up last year, but ended up just wearing a new Maybe This Will Get Joe In The Sack outfit. (Note: It did ;) )

I personally like costumes that are either scary or seasonal. My black widow costume was fun a couple of years ago, and I've thought of the autumn leaf fairy thing, which could be pulled together from dancing clothes that you already have. I'm not sure where you'd find appropriate wings, but you might be able to make them.

Were I to do the spider for Flirt, I'd make it a little less wintery. I was dealing with a chilly day, was at work (not out dancing), and wanted a rather rounded spider. For Flirt, I'd probably put some sort of red hourglass shape onto a black slinky top or corset, wear fishnet stockings, and attach the extra "legs" to the side of the corset thing.

Hm, there's an idea.

I already did the sexy-black-widow think a couple of years ago and I have a "thing" about not repeating Halloween costumes. I used my black velvet mini-dress and sewed on a satin red hourglass and made extra legs. It was cool. I am currently leaning towards Lor's Barbarella idea ;-)
