survived the weekend
Sep. 30th, 2002 03:49 pmI survived the weekend of performances despite being sick and tired. We performed Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon. Our piece ("They'll Eat the Fat Ones First") was very well received and had an even bigger socio-political impact being performed at a mainstrem dance showcase than when it was performed at our concert which focused on sixe-diversity in dance. The other performers really like the piece which is cool and encouraging. Our group performed well despite the sound guy fucking up the very basic sound cues two nights in a row--GRR. I am happy with our performance overall and am really glad we were in the festival.
I feel better today than I did Thursday and Friday, however I am really tired. My kness hurt a touch more than usual as the backstage warm-up area was carpet over concrete and I bruised my knees while stretching. Oops. I must be more careful of things like that.
Work is boring and slow today. Blah.
I have to drive to SF tonight for a rehersal. Double blah. I drove so much this weekend, I just want to not drive for a while.
And I keep wondering where this year went and how can it alreay be the last day in September.
My house is a mess and I need to clean it, but I have very little energy for such tasks these days.
ho-hum
