Heather MacAllister (formerly known as Ms. DeMeanor on stage) has moved to the Bay Area. Of course, she's staging an all-new Fat-Bottom Revue in mid-October. But she's also gearing up for another Big Burlesque workshop on Sunday, October 6 .
The workshop is being held from 2 to 4pm on Sunday, October 6, at Dancer's Group Studios (3252 19th Street at Shotwell, in San Francisco). If you register now, and put a check in the mail by Wednesday 10/2 , the fee is $15 (drop-in fee, if you decide at the last minute is $20).Checks should be made payable to Big Moves, 1895 Humboldt Street, Santa Rosa, CA 95404.
Workshop participants will again have the option of performing in the closing number of the shows on October 17th and 18th. Heather will be covering, among other things, locomotor steps, isolations, use of stage,costumes, and props, musical choices, and all the other logistics of taking off yer duds in a sexy way.
PLEASE NOTE: Though it is likely that most participants will be women, Big Burlesque and Big Moves have decided to make this workshop open to people of all genders. In the future there will be other women-only burlesque workshops, but this particular event is co-ed.
