CASTING CALL: Fat-Bottom Revue

I know some of you are interested to peforming in the upcoming Fat-Bottom Revue (which I just happen to be performing in). Here is the official casting call:

The One and Only Fat-Bottom Revue is returning to the Bay Area in mid-October, and we're looking for fat dancers/performers of all genders to join the cast.

The Revue consists primarily of solo and group burlesque numbers (take off as little or as much as you want, down to g-string and covered nipples—and yes this goes for men too), but non-stripping dance acts, musical numbers, and short, sexy, humorous skits might also be included. Burlesque dancers wishing to join the cast must have sufficient
experience to be able to learn other people's choreography in a short time. Solo performers must be prepared to audition one minute's worth of choreography at the second rehearsal (September 23). All performers are responsible for their own costumes.

Revue members should be available for weekly rehearsals on Monday nights in San Francisco beginning September 16. Rehearsals change to Tuesday nights for October. Performers must also be available for daytime dress and tech rehearsals the week of October 14. Performances are on Thursday, October 17, in Berkeley, and Friday, October 18, in San Francisco. Cast members keep whatever tips they earn, but otherwise this is an uncompensated performance.

Will there be another teaching workshop?

Yup :) I just haven't gotten off my butt to post the info. on it, primarily 'cause I am still waiting for all the specifics.

What I do know is this--The workshop will be on October 6th from 2-4pm at the Dancer's Group studio in SF (19th and Shotwell). The cost for the class is $20. More info. is at http://www.bigmoves.org/classes.html and updated info. will be posted there as well.

Did I mention that Annie Sprinkle was in the front row at the last show and she tipped me (stuffing money in my corset) twice??

It is an _awesome_ show and so much fun to do. My solo is a kick, not to mention the ensemble pieces. I am now officially a Fat-Bottom Revue cast member. Ms. DeMeanor (aka Heather M.) has just moved back out to SF from Michigan so my opportunities to do this show have increased exponentially.
