We tried that once, its more trouble than its worth. People vote, Washington listens to votes, so lets go vote for folks who'll listen to us for a change, instead of us who listen for (pocket) change.

when the district of columbia tried legalize medical marijuana, congress took away the district's right to self-rule.

dc's *official* plates (ie, you have to ask to get other plates) now read "taxation without representation". sma ll, but it says a lot.
