Well, yeah, I know the heat and everything will be with us until October. It's just that school and the season at the dance studio start at the end of the month and I have to give my "end of summer" presentation here at work.
You missed the heat here. Last week it was rather nice, however not this week. In San Jose it has been in the low 90s all week, which is rather warm when one does not have air conditioning. Where I grew up (in the Central Valley of CA), it regularly got above 100-105 in the summer--we had air conditioning, though, and that made a huge difference.
You'll be up near some fabulous beaches, or you could come down here and we could go to Santa Cruz or San Gregorio or Pescadero.
A warning about Northern California beaches: The water's icy, the air's often quite cool and windy. We're warmest in August and September, but we aren't anything like what you see on Baywatch. We also have dangerous currents and big white sharks. :)
