Three of my photos have been chosen for the Fremont Art Association's Annual Fine Art Show. They are hanging and for sale at the gallery in Niles now through October 20th. They are "Owl Stare", "Pigeon in Flight", and "Pop!".

"Owl Stare" also won an honorable mention for the Alameda County Fair's "Photos at the Fair" contest back in July. It was an online-only contest of photos taken at the fair. The judges sent me an email letting me know all the things they liked about the photo and that it would have gotten first place but it lacked the context of being at the fair. Which is fine, but if they wanted fair-context specific photos only I wish that had been specified...the contest said it was for photos taken at the fair and I took that photo at the fair. All the same, they mailed me a fancy ribbon. I also sold both sizes of "Owl Stare" at NOLOSE. Another of my photos was shown at the fair's art show that ran during the fair.

All this is to say that I feel like I have made good progress on the photography front this year which was a vague goal of mine.
