reconfiguring

cassidyroseWe are in the process of a massive living room reconfiguration as L. has been using the safety fences to climb up onto the sofa, the side of the entertainment center, and just to climb up. Not good. Fences coming down, different style gates going up in the kitchen doorway and mid-hallway. All S.'s small (as in choking hazard) toys are being moved out of what was previously his living room area and into his room or the kitchen.
L. is a beast. A very strong beast. We are having to child-proof in ways we never had to for S., and S. already required more child-proofing than the average child. I am hoping we are able to keep furniture in the living room. Seriously. He is only thirteen months old so telling him "no" doesn't really do squat. All we can do is try to keep him safe.
This is quite trying.
