nice outing

We went to Coyote Hills today to poke around and let S. get some energy out. The butterfly garden was open and there were still Monarchs a plenty. There were also lots of bees but they were not engrossed enough in the honeysuckle for me to get good pictures of them. We visited the once-live stuffed animals in the visitor center that S. loves as well as the aquatic turtle. We went for a short-ish hike and S. ma henaged better than we thought he would, but he got a bit whiney at the end because he was done>. He was asleep after about five minutes in the car. It was a lovely day out, if a bit hazy/foggy and we hiked far enough to get a good view of the bay which was very nice.

Home now. S. and ptor are napping and I need to scrounge some lunch and work on some serious housework.
