accomplishments, etc.

We got our taxes done last night. Not too complicated, but I did have some self-employment stuff to deal with and we also had 401K, IRA and interest things that had to handled. Pleased to find out we are getting a refund--not huge, but not too small, which is very nice. I will say I about croaked when I saw how much we actually pay in taxes each year--Yikes! It just shocked me. Let's just say that not too long ago that number was my income. All in all it feels good to have the task complete.

In other stuff, took my mom to the airport this morning for her trip to visit my sister in Louisiana. Hope she has fun and better weather than we are having here.

Have I mentioned I am sick of the rain?

And in baby news, a co-worker brought us a baby play yard (his son has outgrown it) and it is in very good condition. It may end up living at my parents'. A co-worker of ptor's brought us a crib last night, but it got parked in the garage and I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Slowly getting prepared.

Work is work. Not much to tell there, at least publicly.

We've been working on getting lots done around the house which is good. The new roof is done and we got the toilets fixed (they needed to be re-bolted and re-caulked) and while the plumber was there he snaked the back bathroom sink and fixed the leaky hose connection in the backyard.

This weekend I have rehearsals and ptor has his festy-fest (Linux installfest) and a Ham radio meeting. And we have a party to go to on Saturday night.

And one of these days I should invest in some maternity clothes. Most everything still fits (other than jeans) so I haven't been all that motivated. However, bigger bras certainly are becomming necessary. ::sigh::
