what's that glowing ball in the sky?

ptor did a bunch of work last weekend, including hacking back the spearmint monster, all of which helped tremendously. Need to get my tomato seeds started very, very soon, as in hopefully this weekend. I also refilled the bird feeders and have since had an afternoon bird party out on the deck. This has made a certain cat very, very happy. I also have been enjoying the birds and very much enjoyed watching a scrub jay position sunflower seeds between its feet and peck at them to open them.
Still sick which sucks. Am on new antibiotics--hopefully these will do the trick.
Other than that, just working away today, though my ability to sit for extended periods is really reduced. Just another happy fun bonus of the discomfort-a-rama called pregnancy.
In other news, we bought a new mattress set and sofa over the weekend, both of which we sorely needed. The mattress will be delivered this afternoon but we have to wait a month to get our new sofa. SOB!! Ah well. We had difficulty finding a mattress firm enough for us but we finally succeeded. We had the same problem with the sofas--why is furniture so damned squishy??!! We hate squishy furniture! Oh, and it was raining in the furniture store. Major leaks=indoor rain. Very odd.
And, as much as I bemoan the loss of my precious hour, I am very happy to have daylight well into the evening. We were able to take a walk while it was still light out last night which was a nice treat.ptor is still awfully grumpy about the whole business of daylight savings time.
Not much else going on here. Busy and more busy. Oh, and if it was even possible, Harlie has become even more attached to me since I started working from home--some days she is like glue. I love that little beastie, but sometimes I don't need an extra 11 pounds of hot fur plunked on my lap.
