We just moved floors in our building at work. As usual, I am very sick to my stomach today. I went into the kitchen/break area to eat an apple, drink some water and concentrate on not puking again. A man from another company came in to make coffee and was trying to ask me which company I was with, what we do, etc. I could barely explain, nor make small talk, not to mention my throat is thrashed from puking so my voice is weird. I am just sick and uncomfortable and don't want to chat or explain the work I do. What is proper etiquette? "I'm sorry sir, I'm pregnant and sick and all my concentration is focused on not throwing-up on your shoes right now, so I cannot competently discuss my company's products right now." OK, probably not, but it is what I wanted to say. Instead, we had an awkward, stilted conversation and I feel kind of bad. Ah well...

What time did you get up this morning? woke up at 7ish...dozed for a while trying to quell the nausea, cuddled in bed withptor until a little after 8, then bolted out of bed and ran to work
Diamonds or pearls? I like both, though they are not my favorite stones. I do like diamonds in white gold or platinum and my wedding ring hosts a recylced diamond (the ring is white gold). I love fresh water pearls, especially when they are set in a piece with gemstones like garnets. Garnet, amythest and peridot are probably my favorite stones.
What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Rize.
What are your favorite TV shows? The Daily Show, The Sopranos, Homicide (long gone but I love it), South Park, The Colbert Report, Seinfeld (yes still) and King of the Hill
What did you have for breakfast this morning? a few slices of smoked cheddar cheese and a few Trader Joe's wheat crackers
What's your favorite cuisine? Tough call between Italian and Mexican. What I really love is a really good salad, like the romaine gorganzola salad at Willow Street.
What foods do you dislike? Anything with enough turmeric for me to smell or taste it (so, yes, a good deal of Indian food), meat (including fish and poultry), milk, maple things, mint in savory dishes
What is your favorite chip flavor? cheddar and sour cream
What's your favorite CD at the moment? "Like Swimming"--Morphine
What kind of car do you drive? A Scion XB
Favorite sandwich? grilled cheese, but i really prefer burritos
What characteristics do you despise? cruelty, self-importance, lack of self-awareness, bigotry
