We had a good Christmas with my family, although it was sad not having my sister there (she's in Louisiana) and it is still hard without my Grandma around. I managed to finish my parents' scarves, though my wrists were acting up so badly I wanted to quit even with just the fringe to finish on my Dad's. No crocheting for a few weeks for me. The scarves were the first big project I'd finished since teaching myself to crochet a couple of months ago. I also made a granny square for my sister, mom and aunt in memory of my grandma. Family time was nice and gifting was as well. Unfortunately I have spent the past few days with a raging headahce and nauseated to the hilt so I was not the best company and my parents' house was too loud and put me into sensory overload.
We are home now and Harlie has gotten over her crankiness about being left alone for one night. As soon as we walked in the door tonight she stalked into the living room and gave us a very cranky meow. She stomped around for a while being cranky, but we are now forgiven.
I am so glad I took tomorrow off from work.
ptor and I are going to try to go to the pool and do some very gentle lap swimming--I still have diminished lung capacity from the pneumonia.
OK, back into bed for me.
