new orleans and my family

My sister and her fiance have been in the process of moving from Orlando, Fl to New Orleans. They rented an apartment a few weeks ago and he moved in with nearly all their belongings a couple of weeks ago. His business is currently based out of New Orleans. She is still in Orlando and was to move to New Orleans this week to join him. Now, they are preparing to lose everything they own save for the computer and a couple of air mattresses. He has evacuated to Lafayette, LA where his family lives. She is in Orlando, but only has that apartment until the 15th of September. They may have nothing to go back to in New Orleans after the storm hits. They don't have much money at all to begin with and this is really going to be rough for them. We are hoping they won't lose everything and are glad they are physically safe, but this is scary and depressing, not just for them but for the hundreds of thousands of people affected.

It is going to be a long week.
