two hours later

Went to the surgeon. Got poked and prodded and violated in ways that make me feel like a cat at the vet. It appears I just have an infection post-surgery. No biggie--they don't routinely do antibiotics after surgery, but some people, like me, end up with infections and need them. So, back on antibiotics. The very good news is that I am healing properly. Yay! Back to the surgeon in two weeks for a check-up.

Of course I don't have my antibiotics yet as the doc wrote them for a dose of 3 times a day and insurance won't cover that for Augmentin, so the pharmacy has to get the doctor to re-write the 'script for 2 times a day. Unamused.

I keep waiting to hear from our insurance company about my thyroid medicine. I don't need something stronger, but the next step down is too weak, so my doctor gives me a double prescription of a pill half the size that I need. It's more expensive, but I expect the insurance company will start paying for only one prescription.

I'm so glad to hear you are healing well despite the infection. The fact that the insurance wants to argue with the dr over your dosage ... argh, that is just so wrong!
Hope the infection goes away quickly.
